Dang Xuan Hoa is one of the 'Gang of Five' artists who find inspiration from elements in daily life. They seek to combine these with traditional and modern expressions of art. Dang Xuan Hoa's work is an idiocyncratic expression of images from his environment. In his own words: 'I don't paint what I see, but what lies beneath the visible'.
