Ding Yi (China)
Since 1988 Ding Yi's work has been an experiment with the basic elements of painting; strucure, colour, line and material. With his series 'Appearance of Crosses' Ding Yi creates his own language. The colour choices in superimposed 'grids' express his longing for a free, spiritual and conceptual form of expression.
