Jorge Lankin (Salt Mill Victoria, Chile, 1966)

The graphic artist Jorge Lankin is a bon vivant and a nature person. He is fascinated by the sea and the desert. He spends several months a year diving in the sea. For another part of the year he goes into the desert with his wife Paula Mazry. The rest of the year he works in his graphic studio. He not only prints his own graphic work, but also often the work of other, more settled, Chilean artists such as Eugenio Dittborn, Arturo Duclos or Gonzalo Dias.
The mountains, the desert and the sea are often reflected in his work. Lankin also often works with Jeroen Bosch-like figures who, according to Lankin, symbolize different aspects of the subconscious.

Lankin studied in Santiago and Paris. His work is exhibited in galleries and museums in Chile, as well as in Paris and Japan.
