Lygia Eluf (Sao Paulo, Brazil, 1956)

The painter and graphic artist Lygia Eluf investigates the possible harmonies of colors and rectangles. Her work combines the rational with the instinctive search for colors. The screen printing technique also offers her the opportunity to also experiment with transparencies, as can be seen in the three color columns. Ultimately, the eye decides whether her search has been successful.

Lygia Eluf has presented her work in many places around the world. For example, it was shown in Maastricht in 1993, but also on the graphic Biennale in Japan. Eluf teaches at the Campinas Art Academy.
