Michèle Siquot (Rosario, Argentina, 1964)

Michèle Siquot's work is often about the role of women. With her funny way of drawing she shows all kinds of domestic situations. The housewife often takes the measure of the kitchen utensils. The two drawings "Buen dia" (Here: good morning) are about the laziness when waking up. We don't know yet if this couple will manage to get out of bed. In addition to small paintings, the artist also makes large objects with the same theme.

Michèle Siquot studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rosario, Argentina. She exhibited her work in Paris, Madrid and Tokyo, among others. In 1993 she won the Braque Prize for sculpture.
