Liu Ye (Beijing, 1964)
 
Liu Ye is fascinated by Piet Mondrian. Almost all of his work features a work by the Dutch / American painter. Mondrian was the first to disconnect art from the "representation of reality". He thereby created a "pure" art. In Liu Ye's work, dreams of boys and girls are often the subject. Liu Ye tries to portray a pure world.
 
Liu Ye has attended Beijing School of Art, Industrial Design Department. He is now one of the most celebrated painters in China.
