Li Cao (China)
Li Cao expresses his opinion on China's cities that are being mashed out of the ground, on urban growth, migration flows, the unruffled construction, the Chinese real estate bubble, monotonous building styles, repetitiveness of the city. He portrays the backbone of city structures in his concrete sculptures and denudes his photos of European architecture turning them into Asian-appearing structures.
Li Cao is educated at the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts. He has lived in China's largest and most rapidly developing city, Chongqing.
