Philippe Hernández (Parijs, 1965)
Hernandez created the works shown here in collaboration with an 84-year old, rotulista or painter of café-signs. The artist, a Frenchman, created the designs, and the craftsman produced the the familiar Mexican rotulos. The glass is painted on the reverse surface and the space left empty is filled with coloured and crumpled tin foil.
