Qin Yifeng (Shanghai, China, 1961)

Like several of his generation in Shanghai, Qin Yifeng is free of links with any school or stream. In the 'Line Field' series the artist tracks his own development. He creates taut and free lines with such a degree of depth and relief on canvas, that one might mistake it for a three-dimensional object.
