Oscar Sotillo (Carácas, 1968)
Oscar Sotillo is fascinated by natural shapes and what he calls "post-natural" shapes. In the series of artificial plant species (Series Vegetal) shown here, he investigates the possible forms of plants. His work shows a great love for nature and its conservation.
In addition to his paintings and prints, Sotillo creates three-dimensional installations with natural elements.
The graphic artist / painter / sculptor Oscar Sotillo attended a number of art academies between 1985 and 1994, ending at the Instituto Universitario de Estudios Superiores de Artes Plásticas "Armando Reveron".
